Dual Boot Kali Linux with Windows

Whats up
In this video tutorial, Im going to show you that, how you can Dual Boot Kali Linux with Windows so lets get started the first step is to download an .ISO file of Kali Linux if you dont have it already,go ahead and open up your favorite browser head to Kali.org/downloads once opened, scroll down and download your desired .ISO file according to your computers capability if you have a 64-bit capable computer (like me) then you probably will want the 64-bit version of Kali for performance and compatibility reasons select the 64-bit version only if you have a 64-bit computer if you dont have a 64-bit capable computer orif you arent sure then get the 32-bit version as it will work on both architecture

next, go ahead and choose your downloading option you can either direct download Kali through the browsers download manager by clicking onHTTPor you can torrent it, by clicking on Torrent. Torrenting is usually a bit faster but if you dont have a torrent program or dont know what its torrent is, dont worry about it and click HTTP to do a normal download as you can see that downloading has started automatically

now lets move towards the step number 2 after downloading Kali Linux .ISO file, the next step is the creation of a bootable USB for that you need Win32 Disk Imager, it is a utility software that helps to create bootable USB flash drives so to download it search for Win32 Disk Imager on Google, open the first link that pops up then simply click on download ,once downloaded open it and install it okay, once installed, go ahead and select the dot ISO file that you downloaded by clicking on this browse icon make sure to check all files from this drop-down menu okay once the .iso file is selected connect a USB drive to your PC note that the USB drive must be at least 4 gigabyte after connecting and selecting your USB drive click on write now wait for the process to complete...okay, after process completion, we are going tocreate a separate partition for Kali Linux installation to do it open your disk management settings by right-clicking on this PC and selecting Manage now highlight disk management from the right panelIm going to shrink the C partition to create a separate partition for Kali Linux  if youre a beginner I would recommend you to make a backup of your data before this stepnow enter the amount of size that you want to give to the Kalis partition inMBs Im gonna give it 35 thousand MBs of space which is 35 gigabytes I also recommend you to give it at least 30 GBs of space as Kali Linux tends to expandover timeand as you can see, the partition for Kali has been created restart your PC then go to the boot manager settings from here what I want you to do is, disable secure boot and fast food options if they are enabled for you after disabling exit saving changes again go to your boot managerand highlight the option, boot as USB storage, then hit enter and as you can see Kali .ISO has been booted, now to install it follow these steps >first use the arrow keys to scroll down to graphical install and hit enterokay, so the first step of Kalis installation will ask you to select yourpreferred language you can use the mouse or keyboard to select thison the nextscreen select your location and hit continue it ll now ask you for your standard keymap, do this step very carefully ischoosing a wrong key map can lead into further problems if you use the standard American English keyboard like me just click continuenow wait until Kali finishes detecting the hardware on your computer once the detection of hardware is done, you will be asked to choose a networkinterface to use during the installation you can either use Ethernet for wirelessif you have a Wi-Fi connectionif you selected wireless network interface itwill ask you to select your Wi-Fi network from the available onesI dont want to configure Wi-Fi at the moment so Im just gonna skip itnext it will askyou to supply a hostname which is kind of like a computer nameyou can enter anything you want and hit enter Kali will now ask you to create a passwordfor the root accountthe next step will ask you for your timezone according toyour location selected and hit enternow just wait until Kali detects the disk partitions once detected it will ask you for the partitioning methodgo ahead andclick on manualnow select the partition that we created earlier for Kali Linuxand press continueclick on create a new partition And select the space that youwant to give to your Kali partitionmake sure to leave space for the swappartition as well, Ive left 6 GBs of space for itnext set the type of partition toprimary and locate the partition at beginningnow turn the bootable flag to onthen click on done setting up the partition now highlight the partition that you left earlier and hit continue again select, create a new partition andcontinueselect the type of partition as logical and hit enter click on use as and select swap areathen select done setting up the partition finish partitioning and continue confirm disk partitioning by selecting yes andagain hit continueafter this, Kali will start installing wait until it has completed this might take up to 30 minutesall right Kali has finished installing and now you are presented with a window that asks you about a network mirroryou can just select no and hit continueit will now start installing grub bootloader which helps us booting in kali linux after a few minutes, the installer will ask you whether you wantto install grub boot loader to the Master Boot Recordclick yes and continue now select your hard drive from here and click on continue it will resume installing grub bootloader just wait until it finishes the installationonce installation is done, the system will restartand grub bootloader will appear highlight Kali Linux and hit enter once kali linux is booted, simply type rootthen type the password that youcreated earlierand as you can see Kali has been successfully installed on ourcomputeryou can move into Windows by selecting windows from the grub bootloader I have also created a
